Well-known for breathing fresh life into ancient themes, from meteoric folklore to alchemical symbolism; Sophy creates these beautiful works of art from the linocut process, where a design is cut and printed from a piece of linoleum, her intricate symbols take on a magical quality.
Working for clients such as
Nike to the
New York Times, and in 2019 exhibited a solo show, titled
Subliminal Mineral, at the
Fisk Gallery in Portland. You may have also seen her glam-punk deck of tarot cards, published by Rough Trade books, which she created with writer David Keenan.
