Els & Nel started in the midst of the digitalisation. Where not just the office became more and more digital also in the private sphere people increasingly choose the computer and telephone over paper. Yet Els & Nel felt the need for paper goods; well designed, quality bound stationary. For them paper goods where and still are essential objects in their daily life.
In 2012 the Weekly Journal was born and apparently not only Els & Nel had a desire for paper goods, it was a hit! This urge to look at what used to be a product easily taken for granted, like a journal, and redesign it to a paper product that is an addition to the everyday life in the 21st century was and still is the driving force behind the products designed by Els & Nel.
